What is the capacity of the space?

The entire center is just over 900 square feet with 300 square feet of outdoor deck.

THE CENTER DIMENSIONS ARE:

Main Community Room

16’x18’ – With sectional floor sofa that can be rearranged or removed. Also includes a dining table that can be modified for as few as one person up to 12 people.

Kitchen

8’5”x7’9” – Stove, Dishwasher, Small Fridge, Microwave, Stocked with Basic Essentials (plates, cups, silverware, etc)

Office – 5’9”x7’ 

Bathroom – 11’x3’7”

Room 1 - 10’x11’ – Queen size Murphy bed

Room 2 - 12’x7’2” – Twin Murphy Bunk Beds

Room 3 - 12’x9’8” – Twin Murphy Bunk Beds

Retreat participant capacity?

For Overnight Retreats:
6 guests (Requires two people sleep in Queen and four in the twin bunk beds).

For Day Retreats: 15 guests for indoor and up to 30 for outdoor.

Outdoor flat space? Size? Shade?

Large wrap around deck with seating and tables.
Large level stone circle with stone spiral path and grass.
Large flagstone outdoor seating/dining.
Large vegetable/herb garden.

Outdoor nature features? (hiking, water, etc.)?

Palmer Lake is known for its outdoor activities. The lake itself is one mile away with options for stand-up paddle boards and swimming.

There are multiple trailheads within a mile for hiking/biking. Some trails head to the town’s reservoirs.

Is the land isolated?

Yes. While we are in a residential neighborhood, the center is on the back side of the property. You can see only a small portion of the neighbor’s garage when you are on the back deck of the Center.

Otherwise, we are completely in the trees with the stone circle having an opening for some great light.

What is external street traffic or neighbor situations like?

We are on a country road without any through traffic. Neighbors are all on large lots and being in the mountains, the trees provide natural fencing and privacy. The Santa Fe railroad runs through Palmer Lake and trains go by from time to time. There is ample parking next to the Center, away from view of the street or neighbors.

Food, catering and kitchen details

There is a kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, microwave and small refrigerator. There is an option for catering at $15/per person/per meal. We would discuss the food options at the time the retreat is booked.

Is there an administrator or greeter available at
all times or is this a fully independent retreat rental?

It will be set up for both. Lindsay lives on the property, so 90% of the time she will be here to greet you. There may be times Lindsay is not here and a backup will be available. The facility would be able to be opened up by anyone renting it (key code, etc).

Do multiple people rent the space at once?
